Rounders England is talking to 25 universities to promote the game of Rounders.

Canterbury Belles Training is already associated with Liverpool University, John Moores, Edge Hill, and UCLAN delivering quality coaching education to P.E. and PGCE students.

New Lancaster University Team. A brand new University rounders society has been set up in Lancaster. Canterbury Belles Training are now in discussions to deliver coach education programmes to players and / or coaches. No less than seven universities in England & Wales are currently working to develop rounders, and set up teams / societies of their own. The first University Challenge Tournament in 2008 was won by John Moores University.

UCLAN ( University of Central Lancashire) have become yet another University to take up coach education courses. and have successfully  set up a new league in Preston , and are raring to go again in 2009 .Shiva is the contact if you are interested. Contact her on  somidvar-tehrani@uclan.ac.uk

There is now a weekly league based at UCLAN and if you want to play, contact Shiva as above.

Canterbury Belles Training delivers courses for Rounders in the Curriculum at John Moores University

Mike Kennedy is delivering "Striking & Fielding" for Key stage 3 at Liverpool's foremost sports university, working with almost 100 trainee teachers - great for the game!!

 

Canterbury Belles Training have worked with over 100 first year students, who are hoping to become teachers. A customised programme, showing how the coaching of rounders 'fits in' with National Curriculums, and gave these young teachers of the future a flying start in our great game.

Three local universities, Liverpool University, John Moores and Edge Hill have applied for funding from the "Active Universities Fund", for the 'semi-sporty student'
